Alabama running back Derrick Henry has committed to Florida, according to 247Sports’ Steve Goff.
Henry, a junior, has visited the Gators and committed to play in the 2017 season, according the 247Sports composite rankings.
The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder is the No. 2 prospect in the 2018 class behind the likes of Ohio State’s Ezekiel Elliott and Auburn’s Jalen Hurts.
The Gators are in need of a running back.
The team is set to take on No. 11 Oklahoma in the BCS Championship Game on Jan. 7 in Dallas.
Henry is rated as the No: 16 prospect in Florida’s 2019 class and the No 12 overall player in the nation according to ESPN.
