New Delhi: The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) on Thursday announced the launch of a new nursing scholarships program for female students.
The new nursing programme will be launched in three phases.
First, the new scholarships programme will help women in the nursing profession get a higher quality education.
Second, it will help female students get the right training to join nursing institutions.
Third, it is a way to encourage women in nursing to take up other professions, such as business.
“The NCERT has been working to make nursing scholarships more accessible to women.
This programme will enable women students to achieve higher degrees and careers,” said NCERT’s senior vice president, Naseema Gogoi.
“In this context, we believe the NCErt will be an instrument for women to get ahead in life.”NCERT’s scholarship programme is being launched in five states: Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Kurukshetra and Pune.
The first phase is expected to be completed in 2020 and the second phase in 2021.
The NCAERT scholarship programme, which will help up to 500 women, will start in the states of Delhi, Maharashtra, Pune, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu.
The NCAert scholarship programme will also help up 100 women to enter the nursing industry.
Nursing students, who are under the age of 18, can apply for the NCAerise scholarships.
The scholarships are valid for a period of two years.
They are for students from underprivileged and rural sections.
